Hugh Hill

Hugh is an executive focused on the intersection of insurance and financial markets. He is an attorney with expertise in the U.S. and international legal systems. Hugh has deep knowledge of cross-border finance and compliance, specializing in insurance and reinsurance.

Hugh is the Founder and Managing Member of a New York based SEC-licensed broker-dealer.  He has served as a director, officer, and internal and external counsel for several companies, including a New York based insurance company and several large private equity firms.

Hugh is admitted to practice law in the Southern District of New York. He has lived and worked in New York, London, and Washington, D.C. with Hogan Lovells and Dentons.

Hugh is a graduate of Bowdoin College (BA) and Vanderbilt University (JD).

Sean Logan, Esq.

Sean has acted as the trustee for over 19,000 bankruptcy estates. He has served as receiver in insurance and general corporate insolvencies. He has liquidated insurance companies, captives and offshore businesses.  Sean successfully negotiated more than $500 million of insurance claims.  

Sean has represented companies in complex insolvencies requiring jurisdictional and contractual analysis. He has helped unravel transactions involving insolvent insureds, brokers, agents and insurers. Sean serves as a consultant to bankruptcies and receiverships in the United States and offshore jurisdictions.

Sean has served as an officer of Marines, leading Infantry companies. He held a top-secret security clearance and served as aid-de-camp for the Commanding General, Marine Corps Combat Development Command.

Sean is a member of the American Bar Association and the International Association of Insurance Receivers. Sean is a graduate of the United States Naval Academy (BS), University of Maryland (JD) and University Of Southern California (MBA).

Christopher J. Ridge

Chris has extensive experience with captive insurance companies and has led captive management and consulting operations. He has practiced law specializing in alternative risk financing. In addition to launching captives, he has managed the runoff of solvent as well as distressed and insolvent captives in cooperation with insurance regulators.

Chris’s expertise includes captive program design, regulatory compliance, fronting arrangements, claims management and operations. He has worked with risk retention groups, purchasing groups and other self-insurance mechanisms.  Chris speaks at insurance industry conferences and seminars.

Chris Holds a JD from Loyola University and was admitted to the Bar in 1993. He also holds a Master’s in risk and Insurance from Florida State University. He is a member of the American Bar Association, RIMS, CICA and several captive insurance trade associations.

Joe Taussig

Joe is the founder and creative force behind Taussig Risk Capital Advisors. He started Bermuda’s first investment bank in 1990 when its insurance industry and hedge funds were in their infancy with the vast majority of offshore funds in Bermuda.  Joe helped finance many of the insurers and reinsurers that propelled Bermuda’s growth in becoming “The World’s Risk Capital”.

Joe relocated to Switzerland so his wife could take advantage of a professional opportunity and was the founder and adviser on start-up insurers, reinsurers and banks. He brings a combination of proprietary products and investment strategies to each business venture. Joe enjoys the broad support of the hedge fund and asset management community to help fund his ventures.  

Joe served as a U.S. Marine in Vietnam as a Force Recon Patrol leader (the Marine’s version of Navy SEALS) and was an Infantry Company Commander during the Battle of Hué City. 

Joe earned a B.S. (Engineering) from the U.S. Naval Academy and an MBA from Harvard Business School. Joe is featured speaker at various finance, insurance and reinsurance conferences and holds Series 24, 27, 7, 4, and 63 FINRA qualifications.

Glenn Weber

Glenn has created, managed and advised insurance and reinsurance companies. His areas of expertise includes risk finance, mergers and acquisitions, regulation and analytics.   Glenn has advised global companies on matters related to risk and insurance.

Glenn was CEO of insurance operations for a private equity firm with a portfolio that included offshore reinsurers and US-based insurance companies.

Glenn held leadership positions at Aon including Head of Strategy and Innovation at Aon Inpoint, advising global insurers and reinsurers on strategy, efficiency and digital transformation. Glenn led Aon’s US Risk Finance and Captive Consulting Practices and focused on advanced analytics and development of alternatives to the traditional market.

Glenn launched his career at Marsh, Inc. (J&H) where he led the team that created the largest reinsurance pool for captive insurance companies.

Glenn holds a master’s degree from New York University -- Stern School of Business.
